English is the most widely-spoken language throughout the United Kingdom and certainly across England, however, there are also a number of regional, lesser-known languages.

The pound sterling (£) is the official currency of the United Kingdom. It is highly recommended that you change your national currency into pounds as it is uncommon for any other national currency, not even euros, to be accepted for payments in England.

Canadian and US passport holders do not need a visa to enter England as a visitor and can stay for as long as six months

England can be visited any time of year as its climate (generally) doesn’t experience extreme temperatures during summer or winter. Spring (from late March to early June) and autumn (from September to November) are excellent times to experience the changing colours of the countryside, though the country is a joy to explore year-round pending on travel goals.

England’s transportation network makes traveling easy. Whether you’re riding in one of London’s red double-decker buses or on the tube (which is the subway), London is incredibly well connected via public transportation. Travel by train to explore the countryside, or consider a car rental to explore the country at your own pace. One important note to keep in mind if you are renting a car to drive around in England, the steering wheel is on the right side and cars drive on the left side of the road.
